Robert Sirota, born in New York City in 1949, has established himself as a composer, conductor, and administrator.
His catalogue of works includes three short operas and a full-length music theatre piece as well as orchestral, symphonic band, chamber, and recital works. He is especially well known for his rich choral music and his many works involving the organ.

He is a member of ASCAP and resides in New York City where he is President of the Manhattan School of Music.
