High Honor to Stanislaw Skrowaczewski
The Bruckner Society of America has awarded its Joseph Kilenyi Medal of Honor to Stanislaw Skrowaczewski. This honor is bestowed upon individuals and organizations for their exemplary work in furthering the understanding and appreciation of the life and work of Anton Bruckner. The Board noted the composer/conductor's "strong advocacy and numerous concert performances and recordings...around the world."
The Bruckner Society of America has been in existence since 1931 and Medals of Honor have been given to such individuals as Bruno Walter, Arturo Toscanini, and Otto Klemperer.
