The Great Mozart Operas for Today and All Times
The Packard Humanities Institute and the International Mozarteum Foundation Launch a Facsimile Edition
The seven great operas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will appear in lavish facsimile editions to mark the 250th anniversary of his birth. The Packard Humanities Institute in Los Altos, California, and the International Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg will thus make all seven of the original scores, from Idomeneo to La Clemenza di Tito, available in Mozart's own hand to scholars and amateurs alike. The first volume will appear in the fall of 2005; the entire series is scheduled for completion in 2006. All volumes may be obtained from the House of Bärenreiter.
